Hello Liana. My name is Rachel, how are you?

…..I’m scared.

I know you’re scared Liana and I’m so sorry about that but guess what…. I’m  here to protect you and I won’t let anything bad happen to you. Okay?

Do you want to hear a secret?

I’d rather be home too, the boys here all smell like dudu.

There we go, now I’m going to ask you a few questions and all you have to do is tell me anything you can remember.

Can you tell me how you got to the supermarket?

I’m not supposed to say….

They told me not to say.

Who’s they Liana?

Hey look, its okay, I promise no one is going to hurt you.

Here have some Fanta, you told the officer you like Fanta, didn’t you?

Now Liana I need you to try and remember anything you can, okay?

Who is they?

 (shuffles) Biko and…… Nalia.

What did Biko and Nalia tell you not to say?

It’s okay Liana, you can tell me anything, pinky promise.

We are friends, right?

Yeah I guess…

If you promise not to tell…

Biko … He didn’t mean too. He was just trying to…..

What was he trying to do……

Part Two

The day I found them, all else ceased to exist and that day begun my journey into madness.

“Do you, Jessica take Jorge to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

Maria loved weddings.

I remember when it was us up there. The sun gleamed briefly in her eyes, her skin sparkled and her smile always left me weak.

My Maria.

Was I at fault for wanting to provide the best for my family?

Sure, the Mateo brothers were no cupcakes. Many would say that like their father, they possessed the charm to have you agree to your own death with just the blink of the eye.

But even so, couldn’t the saints just give me another chance since I had technically shed my old ways?

Do you Jorge take Jessica to be your lawfully wedded wife….”

I remember hearing once of someone lucky punto who was able to escape and lead a normal life. Farfetched as it may have seemed, I thought I would be just as lucky.

But as they say no one leaves the mob not even Punto Muerto.

The look on Jorge’s face as Jessica fell to her death gave away nothing.

He looked down at her stone faced. Her blood spluttered across his face, he gently laid a kiss on her lifeless lips laid her body down and as he turned his head to the left he smiled and that’s when we heard the second shot and saw him go down.

Part One

She looked gorgeous in her white wedding dress as her father smiled adoringly back at her.

Before this, I never even knew she existed. I had been watching them for the past two months now and their schedule never seemed to change.

They lived such ordinary lives it was a wonder as to how, her husband, the one they called Punto Muerto, had been such a success years before.

You see, two years ago, I too was in the same position.

I had a lovely wife who blessed me with three children and a beautiful house in the suburbs that left many in envy. I was friends with the who is who in town and had my dream cars parked in all their glory on the drive way for all those who doubted me to see.

But one day as I was going through my business, clearing my tracks and planning to go legit for my family sake, there was a hit put out on me but instead of taking me out, they broke me in far worse ways.

I had gone to the golf club that afternoon after clearing what needed to be, and having had such a successful end to a life I had loved for so many years I decide to head home early, make love to my beautiful wife and relish in the future dreams that we had.

As I walked in through the wooden swing doors, red roses in hand, everything seemed to come to a halt when the scene in front of me registered. There under the sparkling chandelier, between the two cascading marble stairs was my family, laid out for death and all his friends to share.
